about

It's been said that your best opportunities lie outside the boundaries of your comfort-zone. Satin Bonnet was that for me; a soul singer who lives in the realm of ballads and can take years to create and produce a project was presented with a set of hip hop beats and a producer with a “create and release” mentality pushing to write, record, and release this project within a matter of a little over 3 months was the unanticipated creative catalyst I didn't know I was starving for.

I specifically made it a point not listen to the original album to make sure I could keep my voice as “me” as possible.

Then Judah comes at me with “ I want you to rap”

“Bruh!”

Comfort zone in the rearview.

I found pieces of myself writing to this mix-tape. Judah believed in me enough to trust me with his vision, and his clear and concise direction made it easy to follow. Pick your favorite, love em all. Spread love. Spread Music.
