August Instrumentals Prod. by Judah Exec Prod. by Dart Adams

by Judah

This is a special instrumental project to me for two reasons. The first reason is the difficult yet jamming samples provided to me by the outspoken Boston writer Dart Adams. I reached to Dart via Twitter because we follow each other and through that social media connection I quickly learned he had great ear for music and his social commentary is entertaining. He also has a depth of knowledge for all things hip hop. I expecting some rare soulful samples centered around Boston BUT instead he sent me some Mid 80's 808 inspired RnB. hahahaha

Any producers knows it's a difficult task to chop up mid to late 80's RnB BUT I ended up with some jams.

Out of the 10+ records Dart sent me I used the following:

94 East - If You Want Me
Shalamar - Your the one for me
Debarge- It's getting stronger
Cheryl Lynn - Sleep Walk-in
Stacye -Kimiko Wait For Me
Phil Collins - Doesn't anybody stay together anymore

You can figure out which samples I used for which records.

The second reason this instrumental is special to me is because it marks the end of summer somewhat. Seasons changing and its been a rough 16 with the passing of my father. As we usher out the summer and welcome the fall, life continues and time stops for no one.

With that being said..................Enjoy August
